I use Zaino Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish. I've been very impressed with the results. It has some grit to it and is not recommended for the interior of windows. In the Florida sun all it takes is a min or two to form nasty water spots. This stuff removes water spots that normal glass cleaners don't even touch.

Gator, you've got that right!

If I catch them early enough, Invisible Glass with a microfiber cloth usually does the trick.

Like @brc misfit said, try the Visco Clay Bar. Use some Detail Spray as a lubricant, and this should remove any surface water spots.

Once they are gone, applied some Glass Sealant to help keep the hard water spots from bonding to the glass.
There are so many home remedies and "this is it" fixes out there it's hard to know what works and what is a bunch of BS.
My side windows, mirrors and sunroof are so bad its reducing visability...Placing order now! I'll update this post with results. Maybe even do a video depending on results..
