What is everyone putting on their hood graphic to protect it from the elements?

Nothing but a coat of wax. Elements...

The way I see it, I take the truck airborne, rock crawling, blasting through the desert, river/stream crossings and whatever else I feel like. There isn't anything else that can really be done to the truck that I do not do myself.

With my hood vinyl of a matte black, I for sure won't wax it! The stuff won't come out of matte part. I was told a vinyl cleaner for like boats and stuff will be all you need/just regular washing

Cool...that's what I've been told talking with some of my boating buddies.

Don't panic about waxing it; but you'd prefer NOT to use a cleaner wax, or one containing heavy solvents.

ChemicalGuys ClearSeal or Meguiar's Gold-Class Trim Detailer have both proven to work well on vinyl strips and clearbra type materials

Meguiar's Gold Class Trim Detailer

QUICK DETAILER CLEAR SEAL GLOSS ENHANCER NEW!

The clearseal works real well on my GT500 stripes.

I've also read where a lot of people like to use 303 Aerospace protectant. It is water based; but it does seem to hold up pretty well and isn't too glossy. Plus it works on interior surfaces. It's a good all-around multi purpose dressing.

I have the Eagle F1 Vinyl protectant and it seems to work well at evenly covering the mat graphic without smears or color shifting.

+1. This stuff is great to use on any vinyl or rubber surfaces. I just wish it was more readily available and perhaps a bit cheaper.
