My cleaning consists of running my truck through the brushless laser wash at Valero when I gas up.

Occasionally, I run it through a wash service where the interior gets claened and detailed though...

Some people here keep their Raptor as clean as your Shelby. My truck sits outside because I have too damn many cars.

I really like to detail mine (like a 3-day detail) quarterly. Being in Florida, it's either raining or too blasted hot to do anything major, but I do keep her clean.

I went to the beach during Tropical Storm Lee and she got literally, sand-blasted and was nasty. I went two days after and washed all the sand and salt off. Just simple shit like that. Plus, the silver shines so nice.

I've only sealed and waxed her real good once, other than that, it's quick shine about every other week.

Yeah well, don't forget these are $50,000 trucks and some of us use them for daily drivers and have a payment every month. It would be irresponsible of you as a man to abuse the machine that gets u from point a to point b every day. Keeping wax on your paint is no less important than rotating your tires or filling your washer fluid

Absolutely true. It's my daily beast -- She takes care of me and I try my best to take care of her.

Yeah, mine is my daily too. I just do my best to keep it fairly unabused to begin with. The last couple of trucks I have had looked new when I traded them in. My last truck the sales guy that sold me the raptor bought. I mean, it gets a wax job by a detailer twice a year, and I keep the interior clean. But thats the same my Shelby gets too. Other than that, my biggest diligence is keeping bugs off the front. The acid in the bugs is bad for paint and plastic. I guess Im not a fan of spending time cleaning cars.

Absolutely ! Plus its a good excuse to get outside, away from the wife, and drink some beers. I consider it a duty like taking the trash to the dump, mowing the lawn, detailing the vehicles...

Truth be told, all I really do is hit the vehicles with a some detail spray and a microfiber once a week and maybe wash every so often. As long as once or twice a year you wash, clay bar, glaze, paint sealant, carnauba wax - thats key, it makes keeping paint clean simple.

Does anyone have clear protection film installed on the front of your trucks? I've never had it on any of my vehicles, but I think I'm going to have it put on the Raptor when it arrives. The installer I know does a great job covering the full front end including about 12" up the hood, the side mirrors, A pillars and roof line just above the windshield. He even puts a piece below the gas filler door to catch any fuel dribble. Any thoughts or experience with these films?
