Smile Black Hood decal and side decal cleaning
just wondering if anyone has any experience with waxing or keeping the decals clean. I used Mothers wax by hand and seemed to get residue still even after a week. I wasn't sure how to treat these????

Welcome. I just use a quick detailing spray on mine. No residue.

I wonder about 303 Protectant? I was told it was good for my Toybox graphics. I have not used it on the Raptor yet though. I've had my Raptor now 31 days and I have only washed it a couple of times and the graphics look good with my normal washing.

I use Mr. Pink soap and towel dry...

Wink Clear cover?
I am also concerned about the graphics long term. I've seen some old raptors and the hood graphic seems to fade pretty bad. Maybe a clear cover might do it? I want to put a type of wax on it but don't know what to use.

Adam's Polishes Quick Sealant is a good way to protect matte vinyl. It is optically clear and leaves no residue behind. It lasts a long time and won't wash off as long as you use a balanced Car Wash Shampoo.

The first thing is to steer clear of any "wash & wax" type products - the wax content can/will buildup on the vinyl and lead to discoloration. Use a straight car wash soap like our Car Wash Shampoo.

Avoid using wax on the stripes if you can. The Quick Sealant recommended above would be a much better choice and won't lead to buildup on the vinyl.

After a good wash, I used Adams Super VRT dressing on my hood decal. It goes on easy, doesn't leave a greasy residue and it also has SPF 35 in it to combat long term exposure to the suns rays. My truck is only a year old but the decal still looks great. (So does the whole truck!)

So i need to freshen up the truck, so I was going to use my Adam's kit that I got for Christmas and give it a good clean and coat of wax. Are you saying to try and keep the wax off of the letters on my truck (photo attached)?

Can't tell from the picture, but are the letters matte or gloss? If they're matte then you need to avoid waxes. If they're gloss you can actually use wax on them wiithout any issue.
