I thought the trim rings otherwise known as beauty rings are what you need to drive around legally on the streets. And the functional beadlock ring is for off-road only according to the owners manual. No?
If that is correct then not sure who would be swapping this long term.

That is true. But Lot of people run the beadlocks all the time. If you check your torque correctly and check your air pressure often you should be fine. That being said sine they are intended for offroad use only ther may be issues if your tires cause an accident. Or your local helpful police officer happens to notice. Please check the laws in your local state.
