who's using Dynamat?

is 1 box enough?

Enough for what specifically? I put something like six boxes into a Mustang, that covered the whole floor, both doors and door pillars and the trunk area. Nothing on the roof or the trunk lid. Check out Second Skin as well. I used both and there was basically no difference other than price and the Dynamat logo.

I found the wood rollers were the best way to apply it. Rubber rollers gave too much.

looking at doing all 4 doors, some inside the door cavity but primarily to cover the surface behind the door skins

I think you'd be OK with that box if you don't plan to cover every square inch of the door panel, which you really don't need to do. I have a feeling you'll want more once you start though. You might as well get some extra- you can use it in the future if you don't need it. It's good for quieting down lots of stuff. I put some on the inside of the outer door skin (along with Dynaliner) and on the power window parts I could get to. The doors are so much quieter and close with a nice thud.

You won’t gain a discernible reduction in road noise.

I’ve dynamatted the 4 doors under the trim, all for naught apparently since it will get torn out for the recall.

I also did the sub enclosure after upgrading the sub and adding an amp. Very big difference there.

If you're going to take the doors apart, do them complete.

door latch recall; they have to tear apart and eval the locks. I know one of my door locks is a goner, difficult to operate and slow to return to locked. :-(

Could you clarify what size boxes - that is, what size of rolls you’re using and how many sheets per box?

I used more than that in dynamat rolls, but to be clear it was my first usage of dynamat.
