who has updated to SYNC3 VERSION 3.0 ?

Top is the view of the files within the Raptor Blog Link and the bottom is Mustang6g link files, both supposedly v3.0.

~126mb diff, (2) identical files, (3) similar files just slightly larger in mustang group, and (2) extra files in mustang too. Both Root driectory files the same.
Curious if one is a later revision, or if has files specific to the mustang platform.

Im runnign the raptor blog version 17276, all seems good besdies the issue SYNC®3 notes below.

this file is to update SYNC3 system, the USB picture is for EU map file

I'm showing 2 different SYNC3 v3.0 versions in the same image above. I'm guessing you mean the lower of the two is the EU version? Thanks

No, he is intimating that the EU map file was on the pictured USB stick.

I suppose we could extract the tar balls and try to figure out what’s what.

Sirius updating

So after I did the sync update, next trip resulted in a sirius update. I’m not sure if this is coincidental or not, but I’ve seen the sirius update a few times in the past.

Unlike previous times I saw the updating banner, I was actually on a sirius channel when it happened and this seems to hang the radio for the duration of the update. last times I’ve seen the updating banner I’ve been connected to FM so it wasn’t an issue but it seems that when sirius updates come across the radio is silent and unable to change stations while the update takes place.

a few guys have cracked the code of map updating I dont know if this community ready for that much excitement...

Some 2018 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 and a 6, 8, or 10 inchscreen may show a pop up message every key cycle that states "SYNC can check for updates when connected to a WiFi network". To remove the inconvenience of the pop up the customer can either connect to a trusted WiFi network to complete theset up process or turn off WiFi in the WiFi settings located under the Settingsmenu. Adjusting the setting for the customer is not a warrantable defect.

More accurate maps are cool. When Lucille barks at me to take an exit or turn, it’s a real convenience when there is actually a paved road there ... or unpaved, she is a Raptor after all...

Latest Ford Sync 3 update?

What is the most up-to-date version of Sync 3? I read news that Ford has partnered with Google’s Waze which will be available in a soon to be released update? Has anyone been able to update to the latest version with Waze functionality? When is the update expected?
