Waze added to Sync 3 for iPhone users

I did not buy the nav package, so I run Waze instead.
Works great, and the maps are always up to date.

i find the waze / sync3 integration to be poor, at best.

There are start up issues.
Just start the Raptor first, let it flash all the screens, then run Waze, select your destination on the phone first, then plug it in.
Either it comes up right away or you have to click the waze button.

Well... of course, maps or accurate nav data isn’t really important to you squids.
The current interface to wake is just too klugey to be practical.

As a trained Nav I was even testing equipment at the North Pole, so my question I gave my Pilot, was?
Which way is South?
BTW I was on grid nav up there. Nothing else works.

cool. Grid navigation is cool and it’s been a while.
I like how waze calls out stuff for you, but I just don’t like the extra complication of making it work with sync3. Everything seems like an afterthought.

I have also used a drift meter, Loran A and C, plus a sextant to shoot stars.
With a dual inertial failure over the water, loran saved me from a embarising encounter with the USAF trying to get back home.

I still can't get this to work. Downloaded Sync 3, Donwnloaded all Waze updates. Hard-Reset my iPhone. Tried launching Waze before I plugged into the USB to launch Carplay. Nothing seems to work. Any other suggestions?
It doesn't work with CarPlay. You have to disable CarPlay. It is a Ford Mobile App which only works when CarPlay is disabled.
