Starting the Truck Remotely

Has anyone had any problems using Sync 3 to start the truck remotely?

Mine worked great at first and then has just stopped working?

Might be a server issue with Ford Pass. I think you'll find it suddenly starts working again.

I’ve had a couple intermittent failures on remote start

1 time it just didn’t work. I restarted the app, continued.
anther time it logged me out, had to go through password reset and all that BS.

I’ve also had the fobs kick me to the curb a couple times.

The app usually works though. I’ve not tried a scheduled start, just when I want the climate right.

The app seems to work most of the time but sometimes it just cant connect to the car. Other times it takes over a min for the truck to receive the command. I had the Viper smart start on my old truck and that really worked fast and 99 percent of the time.

Ok I discounted the battery for like ten minutes and it works again.

Sometimes I see that message but the truck still starts. With the most recent app update I haven't seen it though. However, I hate how you can't use Touch ID every time. It makes you alternate between pin and touch. Periodically makes you sign back in too.

Sounded like someone said you can use a different app, not Ford Pass and control the heated /air conditioned seats... any truth to this?
