If you are going through the trouble of modifying the A pillars, why not go all active and possibly upgrade to the three way system?

Also might want to take a look at the Helix DSP.

I second using the PAC AP4 interface.

Why spend $250 on a PAC if you can turn the stock HU / ACM to a flat un- clipped signal with FORScan.

I did it because I just wanted to run a TOSLINK cable. And lazy.

I have heard mention that volume displays has been lost with the FORSCAN method, though I can neither confirm or deny

Does this work without the Sony amp? I have the 801A sync3 system without a sub.

I want to upgrade my audio but the store I went to said that they don't have a PAC amp pro kit for the 2018 so you can bypass the b&o system signal processing. They do have it for the 2017 with they Sony system. But I was able to add a JL stealthbox to my system and that make a huge difference. Next I want to swap the all the door speakers and speakers. With either some focals or jls

You probably know this, but I wouldn't until you know how you want to get around the B&O amp/processor and amp them properly...those will not sound like nearly what you paid for off the stock headunit/amp.

No way to “bypass” the stock amp buy you can take the separate amp output signals and input them into a DSP. From there tune and send to your amps. A more involved setup but several here have done it including myself with great results. See my “2018 Sound System Upgrade” thread for wiring diagrams and more info.

Your are right. I was also going to sound damped the door while I am doing it. Also I had the fake engine noise already cut off
