Radio Mount

There might be another opportunity to get another group buy going for the Bulletproof Diesel 3rd brake light antenna mount. Original price $329+ 20 shipping. The previous group buy for 10 or so people was $250 shipped.

Woah. Does it come with the antenna and the light? Because if it's just a piece of metal for $300 count me out. Do you have a pic of just the mount?

Ahhhh. Ok. That's actually pretty slick. Still don't think I can do it. Having enough trouble with SoCal parking garages. I'm thinking of bed-side mount options, two maybe for freq options.

I have this same mount. I have not installed it yet since I have not figured out where I will run the cable to get to the center console. How did you run the cable to the center console? What is the best way to get it there?

I use a stakepocket mount https://www.breedlovemounts.com/ezn-stake-pocket-bracket.html

It is a decent, though not perfect fit. I got the 918 mount and put it in the driver's rear stakepocket. The opening is slightly smaller than the mount, but with the counter sunk screws it would be hard to notice.

I did the Breedlove stake mount as well. Ran the coax in the box fender and frame to the front passenger side - there is a plug under the floor I used to get into the CAB.

The yaesu 400 is in the factory bracket - I have a RAM-Ball mount bolted to that and then a RAM-BALL U-bolt mount bolted to the front seat X-member I hook to two RAM-Balls together with RAM mount. This is great since nobody can see it and it is out of the sun etc. Moves with the seat, the speaker from the radio faces forward so I don't need another speaker run.
