2018 Sound Upgrade Problems

So I went to an authorized JL dealer to have the speakers upgraded. I got the JL stealthbox installed with 4 door speakers and amp. They spent 3 days trying to install it using JL Fix86 device. They could not get it to work correctly at all, static and never sounded good. The truck has noise canceling microphones and other things interfering with the new speakers and sub. I just recently saw the PAC audio converter here on the forum. PAC website says it’ll work with 2017 Sony models. Does anyone know if this will work for 2018 B&O models? Does anyone have any advise? The only option now is to remove all the stuff and get a refund. Any help would be appreciated.

I would try PAC before returning everything. It's a great devise to get clean inputs and should bypass all that stock stuff

PAC doesn't have the 2018 ready, its in the works. I had the stealth box installed with the JL 600/1V3 and it sounds damn good. I'm very impressed with this combo. To me all the B&O was missing is good bass. Also the Stealth box needs a very good amp like the 600/1V3 to run it. Install a setup like this and see how you like while you wait for PAC to release the 2018 box.

im not sold on the jl piece. another option is to use a full sound processor. something like the mosconi 6to8 or audison

Update

Update.

The shop installed the JL C2 speakers and hooked up to factory amp. It sounds so much better! The B&O speakers are paper garbage. I will update when I get the adapter module and subwoofer hooked up.

What size speaker did you get for the doors? Thanks.

6x9 component for fronts (tweeter separate) and 6.5 coaxial (tweeter built in) for rear. It sounds sooooo much better. I can turn it up really loud and no vibrations or rattle.

Do you have/can you get pics of the removed B&O speakers? I'd like to see the cones/material. TIA. Even the JBLs in my old 2014 Tundra were some kind of composite cone...disappointing if B&O are not even that from Ford/Harman.
