A few tips that might be helpful Rough Country Fog Lights

I just finished the install of the RC Fog Light Kit.
First I will say I know this lights are not of the highest quality but I really only wanted something that would fill those two holes in the bumper. That empty space just bugged the hell out of me. So for 299.00 they have done the trick for me.

First off if you don't have one you might want to buy a 7/16" swivel head ratchet wrench. This makes it much more easier to tighten the lights up on the brackets where you cant get a ratchet with socket on.

There is a tie bar that has two 10mm bolts attaching it to the frame and bumper. Remove the bolt going to the frame and loosen the one at the bumper. You can then move it out of the way giving you room to work while attaching the inside light.

They supply an allen wrench so you can tighten the mounting brackets on the lights. You will have to adjust them once mounted on the truck so I found that cutting about 1/4" off of it then putting a 4 mm socket with a short extension gave me more to grip while tightening and allowed me to be able to get the wrench between the lights.

The mounting brackets will only work one way for the install. When you install the lights the RC name will be upside down. They supply an allen wrench to remove the lenses frames so you can rotate them. They say nothing about this in the instructions so I found out the hard way as I installed the lights with the BC covers on them and when I removed them I noticed it. Would of been a little easier to rotate them while I had them on the bench.
Other than that the install was pretty straight forward. I read a thread another poster put up about these lights and took notes of how he ran his wiring witch was helpful when I installed mine.
I really dont know how bright these will be and frankly I really dont care. I doubt I will even use them. Like I said before I only wanted to fill those holes. LOL
