For me itll be more of a security thing and to keep snow out of the bed. Had a buddy who ran into a local mini-mart to grab a coffee and by the time he came back (~5 minutes) someone had walked by and stole his $600 saw out of the back of his truck.

I remember talking to a guy a little while ago that had one that was rollable and was strong enough you could stand on. Anyone know which one that is? I'd like to get a nice one but I dont want to get one that blocks the rear window when I'm driving when its up. I read a comment earlier elsewhere about how the bakflip is really easy to dent/damage so if thats the case i'd like to stay away from it, any suggestions?

The Bak revolver x2 can support 500 lbs of evenly distributed weight.

Want to bring it up again. The Diamondback HD is a great cover. Weathertight. Super secure. Super strong. Lightweight. Durable. Worth checking it out, IMO.

Edit: 1650 lb weight rating

I've had access brand roll ups for years. They used to seal good, but my last two trucks haven't.

I'm going revolver this time. Anymore $ than that and I'll just get a topper

I always had great success with Access, had them on 6 pickups, plus a lot of friends influenced as well. That was in NY, here in Florida I want to look at hard options, as I'm afraid the material will wear out in a few years. I also had a retrax but don't want to loose the first four of a short bed to begin with.

I thought the BAK retrax had security issues and required a mod to keep it from being popped open with a coat hanger?

If I was going for a hard tonneau cover, I'd go with the Diamondback like @2014RubyRed recommended. They look bad ass and they hold up to offroading. Not a lot of covers do.

I personally have the extang trifecta solid fold and love it. Light weight, easy to remove with no tools if needed, and secure.
