Looks Good! I modified mine to run my plate all the time; I believe it will ride just below my Onx6. Will install it next week, so I will know then!

Like your "key" idea though...time to copy it!

I like it lower so please post what u did. Also going to try a black frame as think it hides some of the "ugliness" of the plate.

I made a "makeshift" fatter bracket; painted the whole thing to match the skid; can't see it unless you get on your knees to look for it.

One this I did do after the fact, was push the Sto-N-Sho plate bracket "past" the locking mechanism (it still is locked if you were to pull it forward), and painted the bracket to match the skidplate.

That way I let the plate rest against the bumper which IMHO tightens up the look a bit (I put one of those felt thingys that sticks to the bottom of a chair to protect the floor, to cushion the back of the plate against the bumper-you cant see that either)

My original post about it is below thread, post #370

Hope this helps!

I liked the looks of the frame on urs so ordered one. I think it helps "hide" the tag a bit. It came with small ding in it so instead of returning I fixed it and then painted it magnetic gray. Here is my TEMP mount location followed by my PERM mount location.:ROFLJest:

Hey,
I bought the sto-n-sho license plate relocation kit from cj pony. I did not like how it still blocked the intercooler partially. It is way better then the stock location of the plate, but IMO still cuts a significant amount of air flow to intercooler. I heated the end with a torch and bent it straight up and down, then i got a u-bolt from a hardware store and mounted to my tow hook. I does take away the use of the tow hook, but worse case there is the other one up front. If you go offroad you can pull the pin on the plate holder and remove it.

Why do I see a photo bucket error to update accounts? Where do I update at? Thanks

Because it used to be free to post pictures to websites (3rd party hosting).
Now those A-holes want $399 per year for 3rd party hosting.

I just attached it to the plastic on the bumper with two plastic screws. Hasn't fallen off yet.
