Retractable Bed Cover - Can it Lock AND use the Remote Tailgate Release?

I'm looking at the Roll-N-Lock retractable bed cover M-Series

Are there any bed covers that allow you to (1) Lock the bed cover AND (2) use the remote tailgate release?

I suspect most will require unlocking the bedcover first before using the remote tailgate release.Do any bed covers lock while allowing the tailgate to be released remotely without first unlocking the bed cover?

My A series Roll-N-Lock works that way. I am very pleased with it. They are not 100% waterproof if that is a concern.

Retrax locks and allows you to still use the tailgate release. I love my MX Pro

I have a Retrax Powerpro MX. Love it. I like the power because you can stop it anywhere with the push of a button on the fob that you want, and it locks it in place.

As example you can "pinch" a piece of lumber (or anything for that matter, ex-wife, boss, etc.) in the bed against the tailgate, and it will hold it secure; has come in handy more than a couple times.

Yes the tailgate drops at the push of a button. It's also watertight. In addition it can hold up to 500 pounds on top of it...

It latches to the side tracks. Tailgate opens with remote while it stays locked.I can also open Roll-N-Lock without opening tailgate.

I just spoke to Taylor at Roll-N-Lock and both of them A-Series and M-Series work the same and lock separately from the tailgate so the remote release can still function which is great. The A-Series is black powder coated which is why it's more costly. That's the one I bought
