OEM Mirror Skull Caps

So I ordered an 801A that does not come with the mirrors that have skull caps. I know that these skull caps clip in that are on the 802As but I was thinking that I could modify them to place over the mirrors on my 801A. Thoughts or solutions to this? Maybe just order them for an 802A truck pre painted and cut off the tabs on the back use some velcro to attach???

I bought PTM mirror caps and door handles for my plain jane 800A Truck. The part #s for the PTM mirror caps are:

FL3Z-17D742-CAPTM

FL3Z-17D743-CAPTM

They come primed....ready to paint.

Bump because I want to know.

Plastic pry tools will pop the cap off. Once off, slide the replacement on. Not difficult at all to do.

I want the black textured mirror caps, anyone know a part number?
