Does anyone know if the white side alley lights on the mirrors can be changed to come on at a higher speed other than the factory setting? The factory settings are too slow for real use.

My guess is you can do it with Forscan. There is a long thread about it if you do a search.

Looks to be a fairly simple mod and one I'll likely do as well.

After watching the vid again, he doesn't really specify if the new 12v source is "switched" or not. I'd likely look for a switched 12v source so when you turn off the ignition the lights would also be turned off. However, could be nice to be able to use those lights when camping, etc. w/o having to have the ignition on...

I've done the mod. Lights will come on regardless if engine is running or not.

Why pull the grey wire? Why not just add the jumper? The jumper will add the constant power when the grey wire cuts power at 5 mph.

Ok well I just tried it, it works perfectly. 30 second mod tops. I used a solid copper wire that I had left over from an underground fence project. Stripped the ends and jumped the two wires without removing the grey wire.
