Exhaust tip finish peeling

Wondering if anyone else is having this problem? Black coating on the factory exhaust tips is coming off near where they are welded to the pipe up roughly 2 inches or so. Have mudflaps so they have not seen excessive rock or gravel being flung into them.
Not sure if Ford would even be able to refinish or replace them.

Jake17 has his exhaust tips powder coated to match his Magnetic truck. I doubt Ford will do anything, so this might be an option if it bugs you that much.

My exhaust tips are starting to wear already

I bought a used 2017 in March 2018

I’m pretty disappointed they didn’t last this long

I’ll be using high temp spray paint for the time being but may look into something else if that doesn’t last awhile

The powdercoating looks nice. Mine are fine now, but will get mine powdercoated if they start wearing.

OEM matte finish = real low f'n budget shit
$50 > gloss magnetic powdercoat
dropped 'em in the morning, picked 'em up @lunch...glass f'n smooth/easy clean
4 hangers/2 clamps...about 10 minutes to remove or install tailpipes

Hey Jake, Your tips came out real nice but I have to ask, what happened to the carbon fiber wrap you put on earlier?
