GEN 2 Bumper Protection

Guys,

I know xpel has a kit that looks like it will protect the front bumper and even the FORD logo. My installer is saying that the film wont apply and stick to the bumper so they don't advise doing it because there is some texture to the bumper. Anyone try applying a clear bra to the bumper yet? If not, what else are you doing to it? Nothing? Any insights or recommendations are appreciated. I would hate to get rock chips in it and then just have to resort to touch up paint all the time. Thanks for any inputs.

I didn't even know there was such a thing? Is it just as effective as normal PPF?

Watch this video. It's made by 3m. You can peel it off afterwards. I don't know of comparison studies per say, but from what I can tell it held up nicely on my last vehicle.
