BAK Revolver X4 Install

Installed the X4 cover this evening. The install was quick and easy until the end when I tried to close the tailgate. On the left side it slides easily under the rail but on the right side the rail is about an 1/16 - 1/8 too low for the tailgate to slide under it. I have it closed for now by lifting up slightly on the rail but it looks like something needs to be adjusted. Anyone else run into this. I thought I'd think about it and tackle it again tomorrow.

You need to adjust the clamps that hold the rails to the bedside. The right side needs to be raised 1/16-1/8".

or just bend it up a little like i did. Mine was the left side.

The problem was partially my fault for working in the garage without enough light last night. The clamps were not all the way to the top so it was causing the rail to lean partially toward the bed. Move the clamp leveled up the rail but the tailgate was still hitting it. So I ended up just easing the rail up slightly as suggested and tightening the clap back down. I think it really needs the shims at the bottom of the rail instead of at the top.

I installed the rails with the tailgate closed and a very small shim between rail and tailgate so that it was clamped at the perfect height to clear the tailgate.

However, my cover is about 1/4" too thin width-wise to properly sit on the rails (i.e. it doesn't clear the lips of the rails on both sides).... How does that even happen during manufacturing??

Anyone else have this problem?

They make a great product but obviously quality control is not their strong point. On 3 corners the cover is perfectly flush with the end of the rail. On the left tailgate corner the rubber weather stripping isn't flush with the cover nor the end of the rail. I think I'll make pictures and send it to them to get their comment.

I had to shim my X2 cover. I read about F150 issues and called them with concerns prior to ordering my cover, and the shims arrived before my cover from the vendor. They do have pretty good customer service.
