Hello All,
Newbie with first post.
Needing some insight..
I have a set of 20x9 Black Rhino wheels and a 1.5 RPG perch and trying to decide what 35" tire I should buy. Nitto makes the grappler in a 11.50 or 12.50. Appears there is a inch difference in widths. I think I might want the 11.50 to keep them from throwing too many rocks on paint ..
Thoughts? Thx

Welcome.

What offset are your wheels? That is what will have the most impact on how much they throw rocks down the side.

12.50 is roughly the stock tire width.
Going with an 11.50 is only going to move the tread in 0.5".
The running boards do a decent job at deflecting rocks.
If you go with 11.50 it's going to look to narrow.

I'd go 12.50 and get some mud flaps if you need to.

Get mud flaps to help with the rocks on 12.50. I'm still running stock tires until the tread wears out. After that I'm going with general tire grabber series. I've been through a few sets previously and love them. I've done nitto a/t and mud wasn't the biggest fan. Then I went with toyo they were ok but pretty loud for me. I'm not into the tire whine. And then I found general tire and probably won't go with anything else lol. Hope this helps!

I'll be the contrarian

Look at the weight of the tire, if the wider one is 10lbs heavier or more, I'd pass

Will only look narrow when you look at a picture of the front stance, not a big deal to me since I'm usually driving not looking at pictures
