Not a good way to describe other than a "crunching" sound when you apply pressure. Temperature does seem to make an effect as the colder it is the louder and more noticeable it is. The passenger side doesn't do this its just the drivers side. Taking it to the dealer this week to let them look at it as its a nuisance to listen to every time you place your arm on it and it sounds like you have corn flakes under the faux leather.

I have the same noise. When I push the door open with my elbow it makes the noise. Let me know what the dealership tells you.

Finally got a chance to get by the dealer. They have the area rep going to look at it to determine what needs replacing.

I had the doors apart to replace the speakers, and what you’re describing sounds to me like you have a clip that is either broken, not seated properly, or loose. I can see how they could easily break if not lined up when you smack them into place originally, or after removing the panels a few times.

FYI it could be missing the clip altogether. I pulled my dash speaker cover off to install a phone mount and one of the four clips was damaged and missing the white flexible plastic piece.... Maybe built on a Friday?
