Hi. I noticed today that after my spacers install my front tire rubs on the inside of the rear plastic part in the wheel well on full left lock. Any idea on how to rectify that?

Thanks

You might want to get an alignment done now that you've pushed the wheels out further. They should be able to change the caster so the wheels don't rub.

I installed 1.5" BORA spacers last night and noticed the same thing. That said, the area of the fender that had the rubbing issue is on the inside and it is an extremely soft and flexible plastic, so I was able to use tin snips to very easily cut away a segment that is less than 2 inches wide and about three inches tall. I used some sandpaper to smooth everything out and nobody would ever be able to tell that anything was ever done. Probably took less than 15 minutes to do both sides. In addition, I added some double sided tape behind the fender in this area to hold it tight so it doesn't stick out. The plastic is so soft and flexible that mine was buckling out a little on the driver's side, so the tape holds everything tight.

As for the wheel spacers, you wouldn't think moving the stock wheels out 1.5" would have a big impact on looks, but it really does. It is amazing to me how such a small change can really change the stance and looks of the truck. Something else that I found interesting was how the ride softened. Apparantly moving the wheels out 1.5" changes the geometry enough for the ride to be noticeably softer feeling. I wish the clearances were a little bigger in the front, but I couldn't be happier with the new look and ride.

Do you have any concerns for the spacers potential affect on the suspension, drivetrain and handling?

Here's some info:

"By increasing the offset of the wheel, you place more stress on the axle’s studs, and in a front axle application on the unit bearings (or spindles) and ball joints of the axle. You also increase the tire scrub radius, changing the way the vehicle handles and increasing the difficulty of slow-speed turning."

But there's more (positive) info on that webpage: The Truth About Wheel Spacers - Safety - Off-Road Magazine

Remove the spacers or start cutting.

Thank you all for your input.
I agree with Jeff. The area where it rubs is very small and his solution probably works the best.
In the looks department the truck does look alot more aggressive. Very happy with that. I do also have the RPG collars to install. Wondering if that will make things better or worse. I've attached a pic that shows how far the tires stick out. 16ec782048dff15b0704d62a2207d7d2.jpg

it cracks me up seeing stuff like this. the further you push your tires and wheels out, when at lock they are essentially jammed into your cab corner at the rear of the wheel lock.

you have pushed your tire and wheel closer to your truck on purpose lol and didnt know this was going to happen. lololololololololol

I fully understand what can happen if too large of a tire or wheel spacer is added, but without testing, I would have no way to tell you how big you could go with either. There are some good threads on what size tire you can run on a 2017 Raptor and what mods are required to make that work, but I didn't see anything with the same level of detail on wheel spacers (It may exist, but I didn't see it. I have no interest in personally seeing those links if they do exist, but it might be helpful to others.). What I installed works with a slight modification, so I am happy. All said and done, I wish I could easily put 37's on her, but that just isn't the case.

you can do 37s without spacers to achieve a similar look and have the added performance of larger tires.

its simple math, you dont need a how to thread to know whatever 1.5" spacer you are adding is going to be added to the entire circumference of the turn.
