I agree that it seems unlikely the rear wheel is causing it. But, I put on mudflaps, front and rear. The chips still keep increasing. Plus if the bed is shifted to the drivers side it means the passenger quarter panel should be less exposed. That's why it makes no sense to me that the passenger side gets tons of rock chips and the drivers side doesn't. Seems like it should be the other way around.

I just dropped it off this morning to get fixed. The service advisor agrees it is most likely the bed. I'll update when I get more info.

That means the sand, rocks, or mud thrown off of the rear tire would have to fly past the outside edge of the fender and then curve inwards... The laws of physics kinda go against this. NOW, the front tires are throwing material straight at that area.. The most likely cause is material thrown off of the front tires flying right up past the cab and hitting the area that is now sticking out. Why on one side more than the other?? Maybe you were turing one way more than the other, maybe the paint is thinner on that side, or maybe your front wheel sticks out...

At this moment no one has been able to tell me what is off, axle, frame or spring pack, and I can't figure it out myself. There is no fix at this time. If you do come up with a solution, let us know.

From what I've seen, the axle is off center from factory. The problem is, when the suspension cycles up and bottoms out on the stops like it should (not abuse) the leaf spring on one side partially hits the bump stop instead of the block ear hitting the bump stop. Not good.

So the dealer had the body shop take a look at my truck. They confirmed that the entire bed is shifted about 3/4'' to the drivers side, hence the passenger real wheel sticking out. They are going to fix it this week. They mentioned they might have to adjust the entire cab... I'm waiting on more specifics for that.

I also asked about all the rock chips and they are looking into how it occurred as well.

Hope it works. They told me literally the same thing. Moved the bed and had to respray the bed. Told me they had fixed my truck and tried some Jedi mind-trick stuff. Didn't really fix much.

Did they respray the whole bed or just the bed liner? what was the reason?

what else were you experiencing? i do think it most cases the bed is misaligned. i have it myself and the truck tracks so i think thats it. I still have a vibration i can't pinpoint, its ever so slight, but i know its there (wondering if its driveshaft). going to dealer for first oil change this week, so i'll have them look at then.

They ended up moving the bed and now everything lines up. I had the linex bed liner. When they moved the bed they had to pull the bolts indie the bed. They are going to respray them with linex on the next appointment.

Truck drove fine. The biggest issue was interference between the spring pack and the bump can. They warrantied the bump can, which just ended up getting mangled again. From what I can surmise, no truck are tracking crooked, even with the axle off. I just disagree that most are due to a bed issue.
