mberger is right. It was designed for mid-perch. The regulatory liberal tree huggers made them drop it. Typical. Comes from a very reliable source within Ford.
When I spoke to Jamal (a very reliable source within Ford) he denied the truck being designed for mid perch. This is documented on this forum.
I had thought at some point Jamaal had said he wished the shocks were never adjustable.
Exactly! He also added that he didn't understand why people would change the preload on the springs.

The new truck is a lot lower than even bottom perch on the old ones. From what I saw there are no adjustments. However, word on the street is there will be some nice 3.5's available shortly after release. c78e941d59b809308069f4d4dd35c6f9.jpg

It didn't feel much bigger than my 2wd F150. Definitely not as big as my Raptor.

I guess I just don't understand why Ford would put 3.0's on this new truck and still keep the front end so low. I know ride quality is important, but these trucks (at least the Gen1's) ride so good at mid perch that it would seem they would have raised them up a tad over bottom perch.

Probably because of legal hood height or some mumbo jumbo like that.
