looks like it limits up-travel by at least 2 inches and is essentially functioning as a bump stop.

Not for me...

i'm going to revive it. Since I do not need to put new leaf springs on that affect the ride 24/7 and cost nearly 3x as much

Just found this product. looks like an outstanding solution if you only carry weight in the back or haul sometimes.
