Default Want to buy Ecoboost raptor engine
I want to buy a complete 450HP Ecoboost raptor engine and accessories, used if I can find one. Can someone please tell me how to decipher the engine codes to be assured that if I buy a used one, I'm getting the genuine article and not a generic 3.5L engine? If I'm unable to find a used engine, can anyone direct me to the best place to buy a new one?

I would also like to confirm that the engine would mate to a tranny pulled from a 2016/2017 Lincoln MKX with 3.7L engine -- or if not, where I might find an adaptor kit.

Many thanks!

It will not work with that transmission. You're better off buying a used f150 engine and having it built by RBM. Or buying a crate ecoboost from ford racing.

I would suggest looking for a totaled Raptor. I think that is the easiest way to get your hands on everything you would need to get it to run properly.
