Has anyone purchased the volant intake with the Powercore filter? The price and the full sealed design I definitely like but was considering the AFE but can't really justifying spending almost $800 on that one for the little gain.

The most you will gain from a CAI on our trucks is 10 HP. If they want $800 for the intake, the cost is $80 per HP.

You can spend $699 with MPT and get 92 HP with their 93 PRX, which is $7.60 per HP.

Even the cheapest CAIs at $400 are totally not worth it!

S&B is $299 and they actually put time, engineering and testing into their intakes. Their dry filter filters as well as OEM too which is a good thing. Most aftermarket filters flow better but filter like shit.

Even the cheapest CAIs at $299 are $30 per HP...

Necropost here...but I got mine for like $349 or $369 and so far so good. I bought the intake strictly for the heavy duty Donaldson filter. We probably don't gain any HP but that's not why I bought it.
