Yes I did do it. I have to say that now I love it. It is loud when you mash the skinny but on the highway it is quite. If I turn the radio off I can barely hear it. I feel now that it's exactly the way it should have sounded to start with when I bought it. I knew it was going to be loud but it was definitely too much. Now it is where I want it.

What did you install? Bolt in or did you weld them in?

They are Borla 400939 cratemuffler resonators. They are 3" in/out 3.5" around and 10" long. I had them welded in and they are between the muffler and x pipe. On the supercrew there is a section of straight pipe there in the Borla mid section kit.

Where do you guys get your mufflers welded?

I have a tough time finding a “muffler shop” where I live. People don’t get mufflers repaired or replaced. They just buy new cars. I’m serious.... so it’s hard for anyone to stay in business.

You guys ever try meineke or one of those crap chains? I wanted to get my exhaust connections welded so it’s more secure than the clamps.

I can’t find anyone.

Thought?

Might try some auto repair places and ask if they know someone. There is prob a auto repair place around that does exhaust as well. Someone thats not just a straight muffler shop.

Just installed an AFE Limited Edition Magnum Force Stage 2 with Pro 5R filter ( 54-12882-H )on my Raptor. Gave me the scare of my life after installing though, paid $800 for it and after install got a CEL on "Engine system has detected a misfire fault". Stayed on for about 100 miles and disappeared. Thank God...thought I was out the $800 bucks. So relieved after that I decided to pull the trigger on the Ford Performance Catback Exhaust System Sport with the Carbon Fiber Tips ( M-5200-F15RSCF )$2000.00. This exhaust is manufactured by Borla/Ford Performance and is slightly louder than stock at idle/cold start, but when you get on it it HOWLS. Not too much bothersome to my neighbors than stock....I has made me be more courteous to them by not having it idled in the driveway by remote start for ten minutes while I get dressed for work in the morning. Awesome combination of the two. No other performance mods as of yet. Those two will hold me until Spring here in New England.
