Is that seriously a thing, worrying what the wife will think on a truck?

Yep it's a real thing. I, for one, want to make sure my trophy wants to ride in my midlife crisis mobile. What good is a truck if the only thing riding in it is you and your bird dog?

i had the borla s-type on my 14 3.5 and loved it. and yes i did the kam/idle reset and relearn after every mod lol. or anytime it got work.

I know - my wife and I have a month old and a 4 year old. She drives a Lexus Gx470 and preferred riding in my truck with the kids, strollers, groceries and what ever else. She can climb back there when needed and is comfortable. I like having the versatility of doing the family thing on weekends and take out the infant seat during week for work. I at times have clients, work colleagues or just traveling to see clients. Last thing I needed was loud drone tones, ear piercing blat and obnoxious acceleration sounds when barely hitting the throttle.

What I will miss the most is the great idle rumble and the sound of it between 5-15 mph. Valet brought it to me and everyone was like that sounds amazing.

FOMOCO Exhaust

That's too bad...

Hold off for just a little bit before you buy another exhaust and I'll give you honest feeeback on the FOMOCO touring edition.

I am hoping it is the exhaust I've been looking for and if so I'll make sure I share my experiences.

There are definitely some folks who want wild, loud exhausts that scream down the highway.

Many of us, however, just are looking for a few extra horsepower (12), some cooler tips, some weight savings, and just a little bit more noise, but a retained otherwise smooth sound.

I'm in the second category. I'm hoping the FOMOCO is the answer.

I just read your comment on the FOMOCO exhaust. Borla is licensing Ford to put FOMOCO on the stock Raptor Exhaust. Yes, that is correct, Borla makes the stock exhaust for the 2017 Raptor IAW Ford’s EPA requirements for new vehicles. All the additional exhausts from Ford Performance are made by Borla for Ford. If you by the the S-Type or the ATAK from a distributor, look at the address it was shipped from, you will notice Livonia, MI. That is where all Ford Performance products are shipped from. The ATAK was supposed to be the touring exhaust system, while the S-Type is the Sport Edition. So keep this in mind, the Ford Performance Exhaust Systems are made by Borla and have the Borla Brand on them. FOMOCO exhausts are also made by Borla, but have the FOMOCO markings, branding and part numbers, and are designed to be 50 state compliant.

Thanks

Not to be a jerk but this was stated in many different ways in other threads.

The FOMOCO FORD PERFORMANCE BY BORLA exhaust are made by Borla yes.

HOWEVER.... Borla did not design them and they did not spec them out.

They were designed and blueprinted by Ford as was They stock exhaust.... Borla just manufactures Ford's design.

This is DIFFERENT than their S Type and ATAK which BORLA designed themselves in-house and is DESIGNED AND BUILT by Borla. They use an X pipe and no resonator.

All of the Ford Performance Designs use a resonator.

How do I know all this wonderful information?

Borla told me.

Please put the dang FOmco exhaust on your truck already so you can tell me and others how it sounds. There is only one video I can find on the touring and it sounds similar to my Borla S. I also noticed that the touring ones seem to come in the Crome tips only but you got black. Please PM me pricing and where you got it from.
