Nah.

You didn't damage anything. That rattle by the passenger side is because the 3 inch pipe just barely touches the frame crossmember over there.
Same issue when I had Gibson.

They didn't touch your turbos. The Down pipes are not manipulated.

I doubt anything is wrong. My Gibson was that loud.

The only exhaust I would consider is the FoMoCo version. Otherwise, leave it stock. Just my .02 and I've had plenty of aftermarket exhausts over the years.

@Wizo Take a drive on the dirt in Baja mode. Baja mode will keep the RPMs in the sweet spot and will sound awesome.

I drove it some more today and flashed my truck to the street tune. It definitely helped quiet it down some since it shifted sooner without holding gears. The really loud shit was just mid acceleration and it would just holla at you. It doesn't really drone as much as it's just audible at 80mph. It's weird 70mph it's quiet and 80 it's annoying. I am going to keep it for another week before I consider my options.

Anyone looking to buy my Borla and wants an aggressive tone - get this one. After comparing it to the YouTube videos it's pretty accurate except for things are louder in person.

Either experiment and try welding in your resonator or pull it off and sell it at a discount to another member who won't mind it and then live and learn.

I work in block shifts so I can't get the FOMOCO one installed until a week from Monday and I'll report back.

Drove it some more today with a friend - there are times it was perfect sound and tone then all of a sudden you get the farty rasp tone again. Just wish it was the consistent deep tone I wanted. Idle sounds awesome and when the rasp gone at higher rpms it was great.

You got a 6 cylinder... that awful sound is to be expected. Wait a bit and the new engine will be ready so that you don't have to fight sound.

The Ford System in sport would likely be why you are looking for.

Well - I made up my mind. I am taking it off....About 250 miles on it but what a waste of money for me. I am putting it in the Garage section as it will be off tomorrow or Thursday.

If you are on the fence this is the best cost way to go around it. Get a slightly used one and if you don't like it you saved some money.

That's too bad...

Hold off for just a little bit before you buy another exhaust and I'll give you honest feeeback on the FOMOCO touring edition.

I am hoping it is the exhaust I've been looking for and if so I'll make sure I share my experiences.

There are definitely some folks who want wild, loud exhausts that scream down the highway.

Many of us, however, just are looking for a few extra horsepower (12), some cooler tips, some weight savings, and just a little bit more noise, but a retained otherwise smooth sound.

I'm in the second category. I'm hoping the FOMOCO is the answer.
