I had my resonator along with the stock muffler removed. I for one don't think it sounds like shit. When I drive the truck, heads turn with mouths wide open turned to smiles. How in the f__k do you know it sounds like shit? You ever stop and think your resonator is restricting as well? The Gibson catback is decent but not for the money. It is way less just installing our single WMA BM0112 then replacing the decent good stock exhaust pipes/tips partially designed by Borla and not adding two individual Gibsons. I for one do not experience drone or maybe so minimal it's not even an issue. The bang for the buck and results rests. If you want something else feel free to do as you please or whatever makes ya happy.

OP, Still liking the muffler?
With exhaust being largely a sound mod seems you just can't beat this for $200
Loving the sound of it!
Looking at it for mine once my 2018 arrives.

Yes. It is not subtle and yet not overbearing. It's a melodic tune that seems just Goldilocks right for me. I do have a little extra flow with an intake and SPD adapters though.

I saw this thread and decided to try the Gibson. I noticed a few issues right away.

- Stock pipes are 2 3/4” outer diameter, the Gibson is meant for 3” od pipe
- The Gibson inlet and outlets are 5 1/2” on center, the stock pipes are 5” apart

This is pretty simple if you have a welder and have basic mechanical skills. To do it myself cost me $102 for the muffler, $60 for 2 sections of 18” long 3” stainless pipe, and $13 for two 2 3/4” to 3” adapter sections.

It took me about 4 hours, but about an hour of that was spent buying the adapters. It’s sounds pretty good but I’m tempted to toss the resonator too. I’m going to give it a couple days.

Looks a lot like mine about a year ago. Still lovin it and still think it's a great bang for the buck. Only difference mine was permanently welded and they didn't use clamps. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have.

The only clamps used were where the factory put them, everything was welded

Correct, the built in clamps, after the factory cats and b4 the resonator that is no longer installed, and the factory hanger locations. I was gonna put that in but forgot. Thanks fir pointing it out. Anyone notice some exhaust shielding on one side of the exhaust by the spare but not the other side? Also anyone notice that one side (the left) seems to have cooler exhaust but only because it's actually longer when you think about how the exhaust is routed from the exhaust headers/motor. I noticed it in the colder months when you see the exhaust more on startup. Just an FYI. Hope folks are happy and feeling the freedom.
