So I have read the Gibson is good for 15 horsepower...

And the claim is no drone.

Anyone know anything about it?

I listened to the Walker exhaust on YouTube and it isn't exactly what I'm going for with sound. Little too tame.

I'm a little different maybe than some. I don't need the truck to sound like a V-8 or create some faux throaty deep burble. I bought it as a twin turbo V-6 and I'm ok if it sounds like a twin turbo V-6... so if it sounds a little like a Japanese tuner car that's ok by me as long as it performs.... and from what I've seen it's the fastest pickup truck (factory) on the road.

That's because you're right.

I'm sorry I stated the wrong numbers. I wasn't looking at the right thing.

15-20 horsepower 25-30lb feet is what they're saying.

Still fantasy land. Gains are in the DP, not the catback...
Sounds awfully high....

The cat back. AFE has not only doesn't make more power... in some respects it makes a little less. Their dyno pull is on their website...

What would make the Gibson so much better?

I'm mainly just trying to find out if it drones.

Agreed, I have only seen mufflers make a difference minimally, never to the tune of more than 5 hp. I’ve seen 10 at the wheels with a good crossover / x pipe - with cats, but that was years ago.

I don’t think the stock muffler is the exhaust bottleneck.

A cat back would easily give you those numbers and more on a turbo.

Please explain how. Both the factory system and aftermarket are using a 2 in 2 out muffler and the same diameter pipes after the muffler. Any restriction is going to be before the muffler. Catback is going to be a sound mod only.
