GEN 2 Gas Milage

I'm at 15.6 and drive mostly highway. Speed doesn't seem to make a difference. I get about the same at 65 or 80.

However, on the backroads I get much better mpg (16-18) doing around 40-50mph.

This truck just doesn't like highway cruising.

Premium or regular?

Most recent 700+mi roadtrip netted 15.5 avg, got mid 16s on first leg with lower avg speed (more traffic). Second leg was primarily 80+ and brought avg down (~1mpg). My lifetime (2500mi) avg is ~12.5 incl my non highway daily commute and spirited driving. Compared to my Gen1, i'm ~2-2.5mpg better given same driving style, 93octane...

Quite the swing from some #s posted, but may be comparing to some more conservative driving, or some cherry picked trips. Post up the trip data if avail, incl lifetime

So I have done some testing myself, sorry no pics.

1) at 65 mph or about, on FLAT road got 18+ the key is FLAT road, once you hit an incline the turbo kicks in and mileage hits bottom.

2) around 80 mph, normal highway with hills and such (south TX on Interstate 10) I got 15.9 over 200 miles.

3) around town getting about 15.3. not getting above 40 but stop and go traffic.

I have a little over 2k miles and my lifetime average is 17.2

Just rolled 9,010 and lifetime average is 16.4 mpg. Been a warm year in Houston so always A/C, and about 50/50 Normal vs Sport Mode and 50/50 City/Highway driving.

2600 miles or so and I'm at 15.3 since new. But lots of in town and remote starts.

I have seen 22 on a 60 mile trip at 60 ish. (MN rurals are 55mph)

I'm averaging 16.5 MPH. Did 22.5 on my way into work the other day at 68 MpH with adaptive cruise on. I love that feature.

Not Hardly.
I have gotten 15.5 6o 16.5 throughout the entire 71,000 miles I've got on m GEN1.

I could not get anywhere near that in my 14. It didn't matter if I was doing 60 down hill with the wind blowing most of the way. Never could get it to average above 14.
