Surely, something else was modded to get that whistle from the turbos. It can't be stock with a simple exhaust, correct?

  • Initial Fire-Up (Not Carboned-In)
  • 2013 F150 FX4 145" Supercab (stock except for exhaust)
  • Ford Resonator Delete Pipe Part Number 9L3Z5A212C
  • Corsa dB Performance 3" Exhaust Part Number 24392
  • Rolling Big Power 3 x 4" Adapter Part Number 95007
  • Rolling Big Power 4 to 5 x 12" Black Tip Part Number 45124-7RD

crazy that is all stock with just an exhaust change

The resonator makes the turbo more audible (I'm assuming more so during a cold start, couldn't find a video with it warmed up for comparison).

Also apparently the dual wall tip makes a difference. From the person who posted the video:

"Tyvm sir! This might sound weird to some but the exhaust tip changes the pitch of the sound quite alot! The original thin slashcut tip had a higher pitch and the on i have on is a 5" double wall and its a much deeper tone. I had a vid of both tips but it was lost along with the iphone it was in :( would of been pretty nice to post! Oh and upon instalation give it a month or so before it breaks in! Enjoy safely ;)"

I hope a manufacture comes out with a muffler that makes it quiet with just a audible turbo noise.

You will not be successful in making it sound good. The ecoboost F150 crowd has basically abandoned the concept of trying to get it to sound better. The best thing new Raptor owners could do is find a take-off from a 15-17 f150 ecoboost. It will correct the outlet location and calm the sound down.
I followed a new Raptor yesterday and the sound was horrible.... the rear bumper dual exit exhaust was a fad 5-10yrs ago... coyhave done something better there.
Definitely not a fan and will never get rid of my gen 1 Raptor... I love it!!

Gibson is coming to market with one that has some lofty goals

SEMA 2016: Gibson Performance Exhaust Offerings For UTVs, Trucks

Gibson now has this listed on their site..
Gibson Performance Exhaust - MWA Dual/Dual Oval Muffler, Stainless #BM01112

Had one on order from a distributor and thinking about going through and picking it up this week. Wouldn't be able to do before and after dyno, but can do before and after sound. Only hesitation is the guinea pig effect:)
