Auto start/stop permanantly disable - youtube

With this unplugging the wire method what does the message on the display say when you go to Auto Start/Stop in the menu at a stop light? Curious what it gives you for the reason it's not stopping the engine.

ie: FORScan method will say 'Disabled due to charging'

I havent gone to the menu yet on it but when you stop at a light the A icon with a line through it comes on in the main dash at the bottom. It is a small icon.

Check your Auto Start/Stop menu next light if you can.

I have SPORT programmed as default which eliminates the annoyance of auto stop/start

ocassionally I switch to NORMAL as a reminder of how much auto stop/start really SUCKS

I checked it. It says, "Engine On Due to Trailer Connected"

Don't know if thats good or bad??

Does your backup camera work properly? Is the image reversed?

Shouldn't cause any issues then
