Will 2018's have a V-8 ?

I saw this today and it got my blood pumping. What do yo think the chances are we will see this engine in the 18 Raptors ?

Man O Man what a engine I heard they have a trademark on the name ecobeast.

That website is not known for accuracy in reporting. Everything in "quotations" is sourced to be "claimed" by their "insider" so don't take this article too seriously. Also the article is much older than the actual post date of "February 29, 2016" as some of the comments below the article are date over 7 months ago, shame.

But I do hope it's true.

Didn't click the link, due to it being HPK, but there have been some rumors/speculation about a Ecoboost 5.0 going into the next Gt500. Last one I saw was on SVTP, in the 18+ GT500 forum by a Ford dealership vendor.

Obviously take it with half a pound of salt, but I hope they make that engine for the 500 and Raptor.

I had a 221 V8 2 speed in a ford fairlane 500 sounded good with glass-packs would beat a cutlass v6

I'm going to write Ford and tell them to put the 5.0L TT in that bad boy!
