Transmission solenoid

I just heard from my salesman that before my truck is ready to be picked up they have to replace a transmission solenoid. Does anyone know if this part is something that was involved in the initial delay of Ford releasing this truck? Also, I've seen a number of comments from people about transmission issues and skipping gears, so people might want to check for this problem.

Not a issue on the October or November builds. My be something new. The early builds got new programs. Not new parts. My truck just came in on the 31st of January 10/27 build, it also had 5 sheets of paperwork that showed what was checked and rechecked. It was hard waiting 5&1/2 months for her but I have 500 miles and no issues, so well worth the wait!
