For those waiting for 2018's

Per Friday's FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin) below is the model changeover schedule for the 2017/2018 F-150.

05/05/2017 - 2017MY Fleet Final Order Date
05/04/2017 - 2017MY Last Day to Spec Change
07/02/2017 - 2017MY Job Last Date

05/15/2017 - 2018MY Order Bank Open Date
06/15/2017 - 2018MY Scheduling Begins
07/17/2017 - 2018MY Job #1 Date
The 2018 F-150 Order Guide will be available on or about the date that the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) opens and will be uploaded to the Order Guide section at that time.

So if I am reading this correctly, we can order 2018's on 5/15/17?
This is what I have been concerned about. My 2017 (order date 10/13/16) is supposed to be here late March, or early April. I just don't think I can accept delivery of a 2017 1 month before the 2018 orders go in. Not when paying full MSRP for this. I really want to, but just cant. This will be interesting.....

Correct. But you probably wouldn't see a truck till September/ October if you waited. Maybe later so that's something to think about

I also wonder about delivery in '18 given what happened with the '17's. I need to take delivery this year. My dealer has suggested proceeding with a '17 once an allocation opens up. I think if it gets to a certain point, I would have to roll the dice and go with an '18 though and hope it arrives in '17.

So it's possible I can take delivery of a 2018, one year after I ordered my 2017. Of course, nothing is a given with the way the order process has been handled. I am slowly losing interest in this truck due to all of the B.S. involved with my original order. Very discouraged.

I just ordered my Raptor 17 on Friday, had I known ordering for 18' would start May 15th I would have waited. These Gen 2 Raptors and ordering are driving me a little batty.

No reason to accept if your not satisfied... and order does not obligate you to purchase....

Hi, If the order bank opens 5/15/17, scheduling 6/15/17, job #1 7/17/17, that does not mean they will be building raptors that early. These dates are close to last years, the China Raptors were built first, Started September 7th, and they built all that are to be shipped then, US builds started 10/10 on the Raptors. Then the wait began, Ford did not give the OKTB until the first week in December. This is info from the Threads on here. I would suggest if you want a 18 to get on a list at a small dealership, not at one that gets 10 or more slots from ford. My dealer had 5, and they last truck is scheduled to be built the end of this month. I was there first, and I did not get my 10/27 build until 1/31, they had the other 3 trucks come in a day apart starting 2/2. By the way, my truck had 103 miles on it and I have not had any issues so far, Sport mode is a blast, and Baja mode on the back roads,(Dirt) is unreal! just my thoughts.

Given that schedule the Customer builds won't start until early August. Job1 isn't for customer trucks.
