I was looking at the Pace Edwards electric cover. Basically the same design as the Retrax one, but doesn't look as glossy (at least in pics). About the same cost too. Anyone have experience with it?

That's actually a really good price. I've sold Retrax and he got that close to wholesale. Retail is $2575

The Retrax Powertrax Mx is Matt finish. I had the non MX version last truck. This one is much better.

How much of the bed does the container take up? Meaning, how far does it stick out from the front of the bed?

Takes around 7" but I use the bed extender for very large items. Honestly it's never been a problem for me. So much better than manually folding it.

Looks nice. I'm assuming it's a key fob that opens and closes? Think there's a way to rig up one or two of the AUX switches to do this?

Well it's a full open and close type circuit. You have to hold it down to work. You could probably hook the switches up to it.. not sure, I had a hard enough time running the power to the engine bay while keep it neat.
