My truck use to always say 605 miles until empty when I would fill up. Now it only goes to 530 a of lately. Not sure what happened... Thoughts?

That number usually isn't super accurate. Example, I get 9mpg and it said I had 580 miles to empty on a 36 gallon tank.

It usually will update itself and correct as the tank gets used.

Mine has always been around the 580 mark, haven't tested it for accuracy but I believe it's based on your average MPG

I see this with the colder weather.
Fuel formulation, plus cold oils.
My average consumption is running 30% higher from summer to the winter temps we are getting now.

Thanks everyone. I have also switched over to lower octane gas and have been driving like a savage lately so maybe that's why.

I could care less about MPG. But my truck said 620 went I bought it. Now she says 440’s. I fill up with only 93 octane. I drive in sport 90% of the time.
