Thanks Rick, that's what I was looking for...

Get them with Shifters. It blocks the radar, you slow down and then turn the shifters off. Cops gets a false reading because the first one he did isn't right then hits you again (after you slow down) and life goes on. ****** even has a guarantee and will pay your ticket.

Is anybody running the Uniden R1/R3's ? Curious how well it filters BSM's. Also, I know they're supposed to be a very good long range RD for highway driving just wonder what peoples impression of them is in city driving.

if it were me, I'd go ALP . their shifters are updated more regularly and work much better than the ****** shifters.

They now offer radar antennas and ****** and V1 detector integration.

If you peek inside many road rally cars, you will find ALPs for a very good reason.

Uniden R3. Rated #1 on most sites and even against detectors more expensive.

At this point, my 9500 is a pain. With all the vehicle back up alerts, proximity sensors and blind spot systems, the detector alerts all the time. The 9500 used to detect radar at great distances, and I felt pretty confident in it. Now, it sounds all the time on the highways. Especially around certain makes (Caddys, Audi, BMW). I think till the detector companies can figure out a way to filter these widely used banns, the detectors are of little use now. Then again, if I would slow down, I wouldn't need it anyway huh.

Did you see if it needs an update?

I know you can update them yourself.

Blocks laser, not radar. Radar jammers are illegal. Laser jammers are illegal in some states.

Radar/Laser Detectors are illegal in some states too.

Like anything just a matter of getting caught. Most jammers have an on/off button to disable that I've seen, then you mount them in 'hidden' locations.
