Finally put it on the scale at work. Not wanting to trust everything I read, I was curious about the wet weight. Nothing in the truck, 3/4 tank of gas, 5760#s. For comparison on the same scale my 2015 Lariat Screw was 5140 and my 2010 FX4 Screw was 6220.

Yes, it is a G2 Screw with 802A, no moon roof, no tonneau, factory spray-in liner, but pretty much stock otherwise. All I have seen so far listed online is 5600-5800.

All that blather over "military grade aluminum," and two passengers zeros it out. Seems to me that Ford is using the wrong grade of aluminum. Call Coors.

People forget all the new stuff that they added to the Gen 2s that add weight. It is 500 lbs lighter than gen 1s, with about 200-300 lbs of more stuff also added for convenience. Anytime more equipment is added and weight stays the same, we should be happy. Ford seems to have done better and reduced weight in the process.
