Forscan changes - tweak your truck

Yeah I forgot to back everything up. Oh well. I'm sure if I ever have a problem it shouldn't be to hard to fix

Thought I had screwed it up until I remembered reading that the DRL lights only come on when you switch out of Park into gear.

The whole process is fairly easy once you get through the hassle of connecting the OBD MX Link via bluetooth (using a Mac with parallels so a bit more cumbersome). The most time consuming part is backing up all the As Built Module files.

Can't believe I hadn't done this sooner... Had to sit in the truck @ 90 degrees while programming it as punishment for procrastinating...

I posted this on another forum but if anyone wants these DRLs on automatically (even with headlamp switch in off position) you can set the values below. These are the values that Canadian trucks ship with where DRLs are forced and you will not be able to toggle them off through the IPC menu Daytime Lights setting but you won't need to have switch in Auto position for them to work:

BCM 726-16-02 0202 0202 024F
BCM 726-21-01 xxxx xxxx x2xx

Did mine the other day and love it so far! What's nice is that you can always change the DRL setting on the dash to off if you don't want them on.

I did a bunch of the previous DRL changes and have a quick question for you...

Current results:
Remote start: Parking Lights
Truck running in Park: No lights
Drive or Reverse: Auto mode knob -- Parking lights

Anything known yet that would keep parking lights on in Park? (the canadian setting maybe?)

DRLs only work when truck is in gear, nothing found to overcome that.

Edit: The Canadian setting might keep them on when truck is in PARK after it's initially shifted to drive during the same engine on cycle. I seem to remember something like this happening a while ago when I tested it.

Thanks for updating the spreadsheet....for anyone reading through the thread it can be quite confusing.....defer to the spreadsheet IMO....great tool!

Couple of questions...
Any one know the code to turn up the heat of the steering wheel?
Turn down the minimal distance followed when adaptive cruise it on?
Enable police mode? (Cabin lights stay off when doors opened)

I searched but can't find it. Sorry.

You should have a button on left hand side of steering wheel that increases/decreases the distance it follows vehicle in front of you when ACC is on.
