Default Brakes Failed
So over the weekend I was working on putting in LED fogs on my raptor. I had the truck halfway in the garage. After finishing I put the truck in drive to put into the garage. The truck wouldn't stop and there was the vibration on the brake pedal like the antilock brakes were kicking in. And then all of a sudden the truck screeched to a stop before hitting the garage wall.

Anything like this happened to anyone else?
Scared the crap out of me!

This engine has a special vacuum system for brakes. I am guessing it did not build enough pressure for you to stop. Others have reported this here. It is an idiosyncrasy for those who have this engine.

That's scary dude, take it to the dealer! Do you have the front collision option?

Wow, that's scary. Glad you stopped in time...take it to the dealer right away.

I thought about this but what I did in the garage is nothing I haven't done before.

Yes I do... maybe that's what stopped it. I heard screeching but no lights across the dash. My wife was looking at me while she was holding the baby. She heard the screeching also.

It would have given me an excuse to expand the garage but not the way I would've wanted it!

That's probably what stopped the truck! Try the brakes again but have the emergency brake ready, you might want to get it towed!
