5,000 mile service.

I'm out of town and can't check my owner's manual, but I just got an email saying it might be time to schedule to bring my Raptor in for its 5,000 mile service (I have around 4,700 miles on the truck). I was under the impression that the first scheduled service isn't for 10 or 15,000 miles. I'm not opposed to bringing my truck in for an oil change or whatever, but I'm just curious if this is really a required service or if the dealership is just emailing me to try get me to come in early for service.

This sounds like more of an automated email from your dealer than the required maintenance. The truck will remind you of the regular service intervals on the instrument cluster.

Only thing I'd do, and have ever done at 5k on any vehicle is change the oil.

Manual says to service at 10k. But I think lots of people get an oil change at 5k.

My dealer recommends the first service at 5K and it's on the house.
