Hi All---2018 Ford raptor owner , loving it...noticed this rotor (passenger side front...looks like pad is not touching entire rotor....other side from rotor is normal....any ideas?
Cheers
Rotor pictured is another vehicle I own...not the raptor
Further inspection needed... either a valley in the rotor where the rust is, or the pad is jacked up and not making contact with the rotor. Either way, I'd head to a dealer...
Sounds like your pads are not floating back and forth evenly top to bottom. I ran into this on a 2013 Explorer. I had to buy new caliper brackets and spring clips and install. The pads float correct now. I kept the old and ground that area back down. Looks like I will be swapping brackets at each brake job.
