Well, it looks like we won't need to order the 'reflector' blanks for the side mirrors. lol

I like the ol' throwback to the past Ford pickups a lot! I seem to be in the minority but it's one of the features I immediately liked (unless it looks cheap in person).

Nope I am with you. My 61' Ford F-100 step side had FORD big across the tailgate and I loved it. Nice toss back to the old days.

My dad had a bunch of old ford trucks including a 1972 F250 Crew Cab 4x4 and they all had FORD across the entire tailgate so I see why Ford might have put it on the Raptor. But come on Ford! Does it HAVE to be on a giant piece of cheap looking plastic? Why not stamp it into the tailgate itself? There has to be a better way without making it plastic and cheap looking.

its the fenders for me..they seem to have abandoned the high curved BAJA wheel wells and other BAJA lines and shape in favor of the squareish fenders of the Gmc?chevy and the new F150.. yuk..

it looks far less BAJA than ours do now...

Agreed. It looks "tougher" now (stock for stock), but it looks far less nimble. It may be more nimble considering it's 500lbs lighter, but it doesn't LOOK like it is.

and i agree with you. it is a stronger looking truck and less nimble. I think it looks stronger in the industrial perspective. sadly it leaves its BAJA DNA behind and looks like any other pickup.... :(

I get that the components are designed for the type of driving the raptor was made for; but the looks are gone IMO..and its not the whole package anymore.

with our trucks, you could add upgrade the components that were missing or weak, I think it will be much tougher or impossible to upgrade or change the look of the new truck substantially enough to bring back the BAJA.
