last year i drove in winter with the stock bgf's without any issues whatsoever.
if i needed xtra traction would switch to 4X4 and it was more than enough.
bfgs were legal last year.
this year i had to install tires with fraken snow flake emblem or risk getting fined.

when i traveled to new york state to get the nokians, the US borderguard asked me
where i was going.
i didnt even finish my sentence and he says to me " oh going for tires"
then he casually leans out of the window of the boarder gate and looks at my
tires and says with a smile "whats wrong with those?"

very funny guy

the receipt says they are 10ply E but on the tire its actually marked "load range D 8PR" (8ply?)

anyhow i dont think they actually have 8 plys
im not a tire expert but i think only old bias tires had
that many layers?

quebec province canada, tween dec 15 and march 15.
no snow flake and its 240$ cnd ticket ...and they will enforce it.

my city actually sent a bill to the cops for not reaching their ticket quota.

im sure there are many pick up owners that are going
to ignore the law.

personnaly i would just hate driving and looking over my shoulder.
